Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric #8 and 9

Sometimes I can sense I’m in a beauty rut and I feel like I should break out of it, and other times I enjoy the products I’m using so much that I don’t really care if I repeat similar looks over and over because I know it looks good and I’m still happy to be using up product! This has been the case this spring! Several of my purchases were staggered so I ended up waiting a while for some collections to make their way to my impatient hands – but as a result ended up falling more in love with products I owned in my stash and making a fairly sizeable dent in each product use – always a plus!

Armani’s Blushing Fabrics are creme/gel blushes that come in tube form that I have been in love with for years. They are (for the most part) highly pigmented in formula and require just the tiniest dot to give a healthy flush – after collecting the first four releases, skipping #5-7 as I didn’t want bronzers, I was very excited to see two new, jelly-like finishes with the Spring 2013 release!

#8 is a clear orange that applies and blends will with fingers (my preferred method as I am lazy). In the swatch above left is the blush applied unblended, and right is 1/5 of the amount blended out. #9 is a reddish based fuchsia. Both blushes are shimmer-free, and wear well either on their own or as a base for powder blush.

  1. I’m envious–no matter what colors you use, you always look fantastic! These blushes sound really nice. It’s a good thing that I don’t use “wet” blushes as it’ll mess up all the concealing that I need to do on my cheeks.

    • Aw thanks Kat. Sometimes I look at my posts from 2-3 years ago and think WTF was I doing, but I’m pretty happy with my makeup right now.

Haha that’s one way to avoid buying certain kinds of makeup 😛 But I’m sure you’d be fine using this (you can also apply it with a brush, I’m just lazy)

  2. I am still so alfraid to use blush, cause my skin is so… Imperfect! But your skin is fab like always ♥ The blush looks amazing on your skin and skintone!
